URWERK 201 watch is inspired by high-end car design, pricing
urwerk.jpg

The seriously fancy URWERK 201 watch is designed to appeal to the sports car enthusiast in you, looking like something that wouldn't be out of place on the dash of a six-figure roadster. It's even more limited than most high-end cars, in fact, with only ten of them being made.

What do you get with such exclusivity? A confusingly hard-to-read watch, for one. It displays time using "telescopic minute hands operating through the middle of three orbiting and revolving hour satellites. The telescopic minute hands precisely adjust their length to follow the three vectors marking the minutes: 0 -14, 15 - 44, 45 - 60." Oh, I see. In addition, there's a "control board" on the back that includes an "oil change" indicator that lets you know when it's time to service that watch of yours (every three years or so, apparently). There's no price listed on the site for this, but for something so limited and eccentric, expect to pay a bundle.
