Analog watch from the past features digital voice of the future

Trolling through the streets of Tokyo's tech Mecca Akihabara this weekend I found a fascinating piece of analog-meets-digital technology called the Zihotch Watch. Produced by the famed weird gadget makers of Japan known as Maywa Denki, the watch won't show you the time but it will tell you via video electronic voice.

Just dial "117" on the watch's surface and the device will give you the current time. If you don't plan on making it out to the geek motherland anytime soon, you can pick yours up for just 5,524 yen ($47.72) online here. See more photos after the jump.
