Well, it's official. Life is turning into a mediocre science-fiction movie and our remote control is out of batteries. Israeli defense firm VIPeR has developed an army of small cyborgs that can enter combat zones and exchange fire with enemies. Fortunately for the survival of our species, the 'bots need to be controlled by a human and don't act and feel on their own. That must be for version 1.2.
I've got to admit, I'm skeptical about how well this would actually work. I have yet to see any type of robot, working on its own or remote-controlled, that can maneuver with anything resembling ease. These things are still clunky and awkward, and I can't really imagine an army of them maneuvering with the agility needed to handle a real battle. But hey, I guess we'll see. Someone get the popcorn, will ya?

Ok obviously the editor doesn't know what a cyborg is. These are without a doubt ROVs or remote operated vehicles. A cyborg is WAYYYY different. cy·borg
–noun
a person whose physiological functioning is aided by or dependent upon a mechanical or electronic device.
For those of you out there who couldn't tell a Stargate from a DHD, it means someone with an implant or a replaced body part(s). And by the way how about some pictures ehh?
PS who proofreads this stuff.

"who proofreads this stuff."
Apparently, you do. Give Adam a break; he's a busy blogger with lots of gadgets and news to dispense to the huddling masses. If you havn't been around the intertubes, this isn't the only blog he frequents.

Unfortunately, this Isreali Terminator loook-a-like robot is bogus. I wish we were to the point of having a robot look like this...even if it is done by remote, but we're not quite that close yet.
Here's the real deal on the Isreali robot: http://www.cnn.com/2007/TECH/03/08/robogrunt.ap/index.html

Well you have to admit Terminator was a little deceptive, they called their robot's cyborgs, but they weren't really, they had flesh over the robot casing, but the movie should have called them androids, which is a robot built to simulate human life, sometimes down to the organics as the case is with the "cyborgs" from terminator.

To Nicholasjh,
The reason for why Terminator(s) in the movie Terminator are called cyborgs is because the fake skin is alive.
