Immerse yourself in the waterproof MP3 player

fusionmp3_w.jpg

If you rushed out to get your very own pair of waterproof headphones as soon as we told you about them last week, here's a player to complete your underwater experience. The Fusion Digital Media Player is built to keep on rocking up even when you're in the deep end: up to 10 feet. There are only 256- and 512-MB versions to choose from — meaning you'll be able to fit just 80 or 160 MP3s on your player — but how many laps were you planning to do in that pool anyway? In case you haven't picked up your waterproof phones yet, the Fusion comes with its own droplet-defying set, though if it's anything like other MP3 players, you'll probably want to pick up a pair from a third party to give you decent sound quality. Than again, you have to wonder how good Green Day is going to sound underwater even in the best-case scenario. In the end, the only thing that matters is now all you swimmers out there don't have to be jealous of those landlubbin' runners with their iPods. And the world can rest easy knowing the balance of power has been maintained.
