GPS navigation company TomTom wants you to get directions from a voice you'll recognize — specifically, Mr. T, Burt Reynolds, and Dennis Hopper. That's right, soon TomTom will be offering celebrity voices for their GPS navigations systems for a mere $10 per voice. You could also opt for a generic character voice, such as a surfer dude, for $5, but what's the point? The celebrity versions will give you equal parts sass and directions, with Mr. T saying things like, "Mr. T gonna get you there in one piece… you gonna be there safely — or else!" or Burt Reynolds saying, "Man, my career has really gone downhill. I really wish I had won that Oscar for Boogie Nights, that was my last shot. Take a left at the lights." The three aforementioned personalities are the first to be offered, but other celebrity voices should become available in the future. I'm personally looking forward to the Gilbert Gottfried version — he's got the voice of an angel! The voices should be available for download to navigation devices by the end of the year.

How about Majel Barrett-Roddenberry's voice (Star Trek TOS Nurse Chapel and the Enterprise computer voice) in a Star Trek themed GPS?

As long as Burt Reynolds is doing voices for GPS, I think the Bandit should be our co-pilot.
Another choice, Henry Winkler as The Fonz!!

I think Capt. Jack Sparrow would be very cool I can listen to him all day. Or Mr. Spock for the more serious among us. Either one would be very cool

Hey how about William Daniels (the voice of K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider)? Sounds like a natural to me!!

I think that Christopher Eccleston, the 9th Doctor, should be your GPS aid; especially since The Doctor knows where everything is at every time. He would be great. One of the funniest things I could think of him saying is "If we'd a had the TARDIS, we'd a been there already." Now Doctor Who would be someone great to travel with!

How about Q from Star Trek: Next Generation or Darth Vader or even The Donald or Regis?

How about Phil Ligget, commentator of the Tour De France, if there are plans for a bike version of the Tom-Tom.
